DIY Rustic Stand

DIY Rustic Stand

I been looking for nice plant-stand in the market but to no avail. So, I been searching all over on Pinterest, Esty, Instragram, blog…and oh, they offer so much creative idea of home decoration and those oh so pretty cast iron vintage plant-stand, rustic wireframe-stand, classy warm-metallic frame-stand, and not to forget those lovely sexy 80s carved wooden plant-stand. After all the woo and aaah, tracing down to the price tag and considering having them send to where I am…I give up.

Fortunately, the eyes is open too for possibilities and DIY. The day came when I saw a wooden chair standing abandon with stacks of things at the corner of the garage. I asked the owner permission if I can have it and she say “This chair is at least 30 years old and the wood of the legs is rotten.” Still, I see beyond the flaws took it home with me.

So, the step for me is pretty easy. I clean it, saw away the rotten legs, hammering all the join together, strengthening the chair with additional nails, sanding it a little more, clean it again and tadaaaa! Done! All in 1 hour! Simply love it!
